I painted this piece during the time I lived in San Diego during 2020. One of my favorite past times was running at La Jolla beach during sunset. The reference was taken from one of my days learning to body surf while searching for sting and bat rays right off the shore. The sun always had a magical way of lighting up the ocean as it danced around.
